Projects

The projects conceived in our laboratory propose new approximations and narratives to relate us with the Nordic environment, exploring new aspects to redefine the boundaries between natural habitats and community by creating sensitive landscape projects and site-interventions that leave spaces for new encounters.

The projects originate from different geographies of the Nordic landscape, with special emphasis on the Icelandic landscape. In this way, our projects explore Nordic sites in close dialogue with the territory. The creative and research process is closely connected to environmental and social challenges, where we develop a close connection with these geographies, applying local concepts, materials and techniques, while involving the local inhabitants. We are focused on providing experiential approaches by incorporating the notion of place, emphasizing its specific qualities

Through this approach, the projects, grounded in practice-based research, interact with the Nordic territory, generating new ways of coexistence.
